Highlights for this day trip on the Black Sea Coast
Route: Bucharest – Constanta – Cape Kaliakra – Balchik - Bucharest.
We are going to leave Bucharest around 6.30 AM in the morning and you have to be in time to embark for the journey. Your certified guide will pick you up from the hotel for a pleasant drive to the Black Sea Coast. You will cross the highway to Constanta, to Romanian shore, head to Cape Kaliakra, then to Balchik where we will visit the Castle and beautiful gardens surrounding.
Constanta is a shore city and Romania’s main harbor, but first of all, is known for its summer resort Mamaia. As we are not going to party, but to discover new places we head to Cape Kaliakra where we will enjoy the beautiful panorama of this place.
Cape Kaliakra is a natural and historical attraction on the Bulgarian coast. Two different aspects make Cape Kaliakra special, combined ensuring a unique touristic blend: the Fortress and natural reservation. The historical edifice was built during the Russian- Turkish War, at the end of the XVIII-th century and offers an amazing view over the peninsula.
We are going to visit the Castles, and we will discover the old wine cellar and relax within the garden's alleys where once Queen Mary of Romania used to spend her moments. Queen Mary of Romania is an important female figure in the World War context, being named the “Mother of the Wounded” as she enrolled voluntarily to help wounded, even if she was a queen. There are plenty of Bravery Stories about her and being a private day trip gives you the privilege to ask your guide all the questions and hear all the stories as you like.
You are going to return to Bucharest relaxed and felt with energy in the evening, around 9.00 PM, depending on traffic.
